Why is the house with electric fans often have three blades while the engine fans more?

I wondered why electric fans home with three blades (usually) while the engine fans, like the one found in our cars, have more? Is it something related with air flow? or is it just because the leaves, the heavier, and bigger and more powerful engine needed? Why is that the number electric fan blade vary, some are 3.4, etc?

Part of the reason is that the fan is forced to make. A house fan for Usually the air is moving rather slowly. The leaves are at a small angle to be a flat disk, so even with 3 or 4 large blades of the fan is quite "superficial" from front to back. Fans in cars, etc. usually move a lot faster under air, so that the leaves should be at a steeper angle for the same rotational speed. A greater number of leaves using less material and makes the smallest complete fan. On the other hand, a small number sheets means fewer parts to manufacture and assemble, which reduces the cost. There is no particular reason why a fan of house must have 3 or 4 blades well. It is just what the designer thought prettier. There is good reason why fans do not usually have only 2 blades. A 2-blade fan is potentially unstable in a certain rotation speeds, you can do leaves vibrate and create additional noise, and also creates large forces on the bearings which means that the bearing and the engine must be stronger, more heavy and more expensive. (It is difficult to give an adequate explanation of why this occurs without using a lot of math). With any number leaves more than two, these instability problems can not happen. Incidentally, who is also the reason why there are few planes with 2-bladed propellers, and few 2-blade turbines.
