Horse eating leaves of red oak?

My horse is getting on the leaves and red oak acorns more of the pasture, it is impossible to get all out on especially as more leaves fall from trees. He goes out of his way to ignore the grass and hay I provide to eat the leaves, but he is the one to do it, I know red oak is poisonous, but only in large quantities? What should I watch to make sure it's okay?

Acorns are bad news in any amount! and horses can become very accustomed to the taste! this is going to sound funny, but is there any way u cud get a pig? in the New Forest have a lot of pigs eating acorns and this wud love ur pony keeping the problem! whatever, before it is sorted and clears the field by any means ur horse should be kept off the field – eating acorns cud leave a severe permanent damage to ur horse
