How to safely store freesia and oriental lily bulbs until November?

Can I store in the sand? I was told to cover them in peat and store in a cool place. How do I prevent rot and dry? Thank you! Yes, they are new bulbs. I will try your method and store them in brown bag.

Hello, can be covered with peat moss, but what I recommend is to place them in a brown paper bag and a dark, dry place. I guess these are new and lilies have bloomed? If you already have flourished wise to allow the stems are yellow to brown, which are energy storage for future growth years. One good thing about these lily bulbs is they tend to multiply:) but in brown bag. I did it with some oriental lilies after they bloom, placed in the bag and put in my storage area next spring, all roots are mixed together and had about 5 new bulbs shoot. They were in the bag for about 3 1 / 2 months or so. The crowd will help such as insulation, while in the bag, etc. .. can be bought at HD or Lowe's. Best of luck.
