What happened to my lily Iris?

A year ago I planted iris Iris, with a mustard yellow along the edges of the flowers. My son I bought a mixed blue and purple and I decided to plant it near the planted me. Now, the yellow iris flowers used to be great and many of them this year was not the sign of my Iris yellow, but the blue one I bought my son grew in abundance, abundance of flowers. Did it affect my Iris by planting another one different color so close to her. It is a mystery to me, can someone tell me what happened. There are still little yellow iris plants around, but why not get bigger this year?. Thanks.:))

This year they are using the goodness that gave them the time and the year after flowering past. Did you keep them well fed and watered? This is the main reason for the bulb that produces well in 2nd and subsequent years. In the year that they buy is must be carefully cared for by producers to ensure a good display.
