Gel Bait

Should I hire an exterminator?
I have cockroaches in my kitchen and I previously used a combo ortho home defense max, boric acid, combat and gel baits. Of course most of these things requires that I apply every month (except national defense spray). What is the advantage of having a exterminator to do?
If you get an exterminator to do that then you may have to leave home for a night or two, depending on what you do. Also tell people on both sides of your house to regard as their homes should be done at the same time or the cockroaches will move from home to home, then when they need home made later this year cockroaches to revert back to your home. Or you could use sticky pads, also check the furnace because could be living in the back of it.

Bait -
$14.99 Reclusive Britisher Jack Blake (John Hurt) comes to the rescue when motorists Pam Raeburn (Sheila Hancock) and her daughter, Stephanie (Rachael Stirling), are stranded on a lonely road during a heavy rain. Offering the ladies shelter in his stately but rather gloomy mansion, Jack cannot help but notice that Stephanie bears a remarkable resemblance to his own daughter, who had been brutally murdered by an unknown assailant several years earlier. Then and there, Jack decides to use Stephanie as bait to trap the man whom he thinks is his daughter's killer. Made for television, Bait was originally presented on Britain's ITV1 on December 27, 2002. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide |

$3.48 It's a business trip that takes attorney Maddie Fitzgerald down to New Orleans, but it's hardly business as usual when a man breaks into her hotel room and tries to kill her. Barely escaping with her life, the sexy, stylish thirty-two-year-old brunette calls the police and finds herself face-to-face with FBI agent Sam McCabe. Unnerved by his questions-and his good looks-Maddie is told she's been targeted by a hired killer, one who has eluded McCabe for years. Apparently, she's been mistaken for another woman, an FBI informant of the same name who was also staying at the hotel that night. McCabe grills her, and then disappears. Shaken, she finishes her business and returns home to St. Louis. But days later, Maddie is attacked a second time, and again McCabe returns to question her. He convinces her that the only way she'll ever be safe again is if the killer is caught, and the quickest way to nab him is to use her as bait. Maddie reluctantly agrees, and sparks fly and then ignite as McCabe shadows her. But their unexpected romance throws McCabe off his stride-and puts Maddie in the hands of a killer. A bewitching combination of pulse-pounding twists and blazing romance, Bait is the remarkable Karen Robards at her best. |

BAIT
$3.48 Define paranoia. Meg Gillis lives with it. It's the sixth sense that's kept her alive -- a necessary evil, a part of her baggage. Meg used to be a cop. She's put that behind her the best that she can. She and a friend, ex-cop Michael Johnson, own a security business on the fringes of Beverly Hills, and Meg's found she can bury herself in the details, the day-to-day operations. She's turned her back on the cop life, but Mike hasn't quite. He still hangs out with cops, still does the odd favor. Sometimes very odd, but Meg doesn't ask, doesn't want to know. Until the day Meg catches a phone call meant for Mike at the office -- something about a possible kidnapping -- and that night Mike doesn't get home. He's a big boy, he doesn't have to tell Meg where he's going. That's what she says to Sergeant Joe Reilly of the Beverly Hills PD Special Tactics Unit, who seems to think Meg knows more than she's telling. The problem, of course, is that she might. Define paranoia at the edge of the jungle. Meg's been there, you see. Known crooked cops. Knows how things operate, knows not to trust. Someone's playing games -- cop kinds of games -- and everything Meg has that she loves is at stake. Put herself out there as bait? Yes, if that's what it takes. She learned a lot in her cop days. She can handle herself and a weapon. She's not so sure about her emotions, but this is do-or-die time, and Meg doesn't plan to die anytime soon. With the authenticity that only an author who has worked behind the scenes in law enforcement could provide, Bait introduces a dynamic new sleuth in the witty, sharp-edged Kinsey Millhone tradition. Meg is both tough and vulnerable, and her creator, C.J. Songer, is a bright new talent sure to win acclaim for her accomplished debut. |
