I have received a fixed penalty for overtaking double white lines, is it worth questioning?

I overtook a slow moving vehicle in two white lines I missed due to bad condition of the lines. The inspection of the solid lines seem to carry dashed lines at the point where I started to overtake. Most of the white line had broken and gone. It's hard to see if they broke the white lines or solids. Is it worth presenting Photos to court and challenging the fixed penalty notice?

The double standard for white or double white line in the closest to you is solid are: 129 double white lines where the line nearest you is solid. This means you should not cross or forked insurance unless and you need to enter adjoining premises or a side street. You can cross the line if necessary, provided that the path is clear, to pass a stationary vehicle, or overtake a pedal cycle, horse or road maintenance vehicle, if they are traveling at 10 mph (16 kph) or less. If you were doing none of the above, then they have no chance if you challenge it. You could try on the fact the lines were not clear, but you'll be on shaky ground.
